Fall activities

We have been busy doing so many fall crafts and activities.
We have made spider hand prints
Not sure if you can see it very well but Mack has started writing his own name! I am so proud!
We went to story time at the library and wore costumes. Love how Zac really makes himself at home.

Mack loves doing all the motions
Having a parade through the library
Mack and his best friend Mayes!
All 3 boys taking a picture with the storyteller
We also went to the AG museum for some pumpkin fun. This was us on the hayride.
They provided the snack. I still can't believe Zac drank the milk.
Looking at the rabbits and still holding on to that milk!

Zac went strait to this pumpkin and brought it right back. The boy knows what he likes!
Mack was a little more indecisive.
After the events of the day we had to go to Canton to order Zac's birthday cake and visited Gran after. We love our Gran!!
Making candy necklaces. They were so focused. Probably because I told them they couldn't eat any candy until it was all on the necklace. I know mean mommy but look at those fine motor skills at work!
The finished product was so worth it! They didn't last 1 day.

Ole Miss game

Last weekend we were invited to the Ole Miss game. What an experience it was! My sister in law just graduated from there in May and my brother is a student now. We met my brother for a few minutes and Mack couldn't stop asking about him for the rest of the day.
On our way to the stadium!
The guy in front of us gave Mack his binoculars for almost the whole game. Mack couldn't get enough of them.

Saying Ole Miss after a first down! We had really awesome seats.
Mack was the life of the party as usual. My little ladies man. I'm preparing myself now for his teenage self.

We also met one of the players. I think Mack was more interested in the gigantic sucker he'd just been given but still pretty cool.

The Fair 2011

It is a tradition that I take the boys to the fair every year. Not everyone likes it. It's a germaphobe's nightmare, the food is horrible for you, and the staff is usually questionable at best. My kids LOVE it! I have had to ride the rides with them each year and although I have enjoyed every second, this year ROCKED! I had to ride very few rides and was able to stand back and take as many pictures as I wanted! It also cut way back on ticket cost and boosted the boys confidence just a little.

The first ride of the day. I rode this one out of habit then realized that I could probably let them grow up a little and ride alone. Major breakthrough for me!
They were so proud of themselves!
I was so happy not to have to ride on the big green dino this year!

Love this one of the boys! Reminds me so much of their daddy!
I rode this one with Zac. The height was a little too much for this helicopter mom.

Just look at those happy faces! Makes it all worth it!

I think we rode the Farris wheel at the perfect time. It was a beautiful sunset.

The boys loved feeding this very hairy cow.

So typical that the boys would decide on these rockets. Zac's favorite color is orange and Mack's is green.

This was by far the favorite ride of the night. I could never get a good picture of Zac's face but I think Mack's says it all.

The boys had so much fun this year. We can't wait until next year!

What we've been up too

I am in full on planning mode for Zac's birthday in November with a superhero theme, and this week I made a shirt, capes, and masks for the occasion! Keep in mind I have never sewn anything in my life so this was an undertaking for me. I saw a shirt on ETSY that I just fell in love with but the price just wasn't right for me, so I decided to try my hand at it. A few t-shirts, felt, yarn, and some bonding later I have Zac's birthday outfit....Super Zac! I could only find a blue t-shirt with a pocket so I tried to incorporate it the best I could. The yarn around the 3 wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be.
I cut out the foam mask and strung the elastic!
To complete the ensemble I cut out a cape fit for my little super hero from a medium sized Adult shirt. Super Zac is so excited about his upcoming celebration! I know it doesn't look perfect but I'm pretty pround of the results.
We have also all been SICK! You know when the Ward's get sick we don't do a halfway job! So collectivly our family has had 5 injections, 5 rounds of antibiotics, 2 rounds of steroids, and lots and lots of breathing treatments. We are all hopefully on the mend now and we're just praying we won't have a winter like we did last year!
