Wellness visits for all!

We went to Zac's 4 month wellness visit and Mack's 2 year wellness visit yesterday and it seems that I have 2 very large boys with some big ole heads! :) Here are the stats then I'll tell you all about it...

Mackenzie~ weight: 31 1/4 lbs 85%
height: 37" 95%
head circum: 50 cm. 80%

Zachary~ weight: 17 lbs. 15 1/2 oz. 95%
height: 25 1/2" 75%
head circum: 42 cm. 50%

Whoo hoo for healthy thriving boys!

First off thank God for Gran...I wouldn't have made it without her! She came yesterday morning and watched the boys so I could take a well deserved shower and relax a while. Then came time for the dreaded appointment, and let me just say both my boys LOVE their doctor it's just the nursing staff they have a problem with. Who could blame them though the nurses do all the dirty work :) Back to the apointment. We got to the waiting room and said hey to Mack's fav receptionist (yes he has a fav and yes again we are there often enough to have one ;)) The boys names were finally called and off we went to strip them down to get the weight and height check, all the while Mack is screaming because he doesn't want to be naked. We got back to the room and so began the dreaded wait for the finger pricking to take place. Mack was first, and let me just tell you it was like holding on to a wild animal only worse because he was screaming no mama :( . When the nurse came back Mack started crossing his arms with his hands under his arm pits, then ran screaming no to me. He finally calmed down when Zac started crying. Ah the life as a mother of 2, and we hadn't even gotten half way finished. The doc walked in and Mack took his usual seat, in his lap of course (like I said he loves his doctor). He checked them out and said they both looked great. Zac still has fluid on his ears and is teething like crazy but what else is new. It was then time for the dreaded end...I hear the dum dum dum scary music playing in the background. Mack was first to get a shot. I held his upper half down and the nurse had the lower. She then made the same comment that every other nurse has made that has had to hold the Mack daddy down "man he's strong!". HaHa yes he is. I had to hold him while Zac got his, so gran had the unbearable honor of holding baby Zac down for his 3 shots. Needless to say they both took great naps when we got home.
